An encounter of the nocturnal 19th and 20th century

The pianist and composer Laura Konjetzky contrasts her four nocturnes with those of Frédéric Chopin whose music greatly influenced her.

As composer, she is connected to Chopin by her intensive relationship to the piano.

Frédéric Chopin:

• Nocturne Opus posth. 72 No. 1 (1827)
• Nocturne Opus 48 No. 1 (1841)
• Nocturne Opus 48 No. 2 (1841)

Laura Konjetzky:

• Nocturne 1 for piano solo (2011)
• Nocturne 2 for piano solo and speaking pianist (2011)
• Nocturne 3 for piano solo (2013)
• Nocturne 5 for piano solo (2014)
