When I discovered the “Book of Sounds” for piano solo by the German composer and pianist Hans Otte, I was immediately enchanted by the space Otte devoted to the pure piano sound.
With its awareness of the history and development of piano sound, this composition is a journey to the roots of hearing.
Hans Otte (1926 – 2007) wrote the oeuvre between 1979 and 1982.”
